Consignment

Box up your items and bring them to our back door.  Please make sure your items are clearly labelled with your name and phone #.   Its not necessary to label each item, just each box.  We will give you a user name and a password to log in to your account via our website.  You will be able to see a complete listing of your items, the prices and a running balance.

When you arrive we will get you to fill out our consignement agreement and just leave the items with us.  If you would like us to price them based on what we feel our buyers will pay we are happy to do this for you.  If you have items that you have a bottom line for, please identify these items with masking tape and put your suggested price on the item.  We will not price below your suggestion without discussing it with you first.  Please remember we are a discount type shop, if you purchased your item at a very high end shop we need to know this before we price.  We have had cases where we have priced well below what we should have as we can not possibly know how much every item was when it was newly purchased or where it was purchased.  There is a huge difference between the way we would price an item from a high end boutique and a flea market for instance.

Some pointers on how to make the most money;

• Make sure your items shine!  A clean well displayed item is much more appealing to the buyers and the staff.  Items that shine will get premium placement in the store.
• Bring items in ahead of the season and not at the end or later.  Ex.; by Decemeber 1st, Christmas has already taken several markdowns.  Bring it in September and allow it some time to sell at full price.  The same goes for patio and garden.  If you bring it in July its already on sale everywhere and we will need to start it at a much lower price to compete with the sales in the major chains.  Summer items are best brought in late April.
• Bring in items that you would still see in the major chains….if it looks like a set prop from the Brady Bunch or The Golden Girls, its not going to sell here and we will pass on it.
• Lastly if its items that you couldn’t sell at your garage sale, we most likely wouldn’t be able to sell them either.

Save yourself and us the effort and only bring us the best of the best.

What can I sell?

Accessories- We must be able to price them at a minimum of $10.00.

We look for current items that you would find in the major home decor chains, and not items that would be found in flea markets, antique shops, thrift shops or collectible shops.

Furniture- We look for pieces that would be timeless classics and newer pieces.  We will accept antiques in good shape, however; we are not an antique shop and do not make any claims to knowing the market value of your piece.  We price your items based on our market and what we think our buyers will pay.  If you have antiques, it is best to have them appraised by an experienced dealer.
Furniture must be approved by photo first.  Please upload your photos to us and we will let you know.

We will consign the following items providing that they are current styles, in season, in good to excellent condition and we do not have surplus amounts of the item you are selling.

We will accept:

Accent lamps
Floor lamps
Accent and occasional tables
Dining furniture
Bedroom sets
Dressers/washstands
Large decorative pieces (bowls, vases, art)
Nearly new comforters/duvets (freshly laundered of course)
Table linens (clean and pressed)
Mirrors
Wall art
Centre pieces
Rockers
Sets of dishes (must be 4 or more place settings)
Sets of glasses (4 or more)
Some window coverings (nothing custom made)
Upholstered furniture-current colours with no tears, stains, pet hair or smoke odor
Crystal/Silver
Anything funky or unique
Some collectibles

We wont accept:

Anything dated, retro or things found in thrift shops
Most knick knacks
Odd dishes (sets are acceptable)
Appliances
Sheets, towels etc.
Mattresses
Older brass
Anything broken, missing batteries, parts or not in working condition
Most collectors plates and some other collectibles
Anything chipped, cracked, glued or soiled
Pictures that are not in current decorating colours
Lamps and light fixtures that are not current
Small ceramic pots and planters (such as the type you would receive flowers in)
Ordinary glassware
Anything we already have a surplus of

Remember;  We must be able to put at least $10.00 as a starting price
